Train trip from Aranyaprathet to Bangkok

I will move to next destination today.
Checked out Hotel at 6 am and head to Aranyaprathet station.

The ticket window had already been queued.
The departure time is 6:40 and arrival time to Bangkok is 12:05.
The duration is estimated over 5 hours.
It is the first time such a long trip by local train in Thailand.
I am excited.

The train is already on standby from last night.
Bought a ticket and board the train.
The fare to Bangkok is 48B per person.

  Got on the train  

I secured a seat in the last customer car.
Judged that it was easy to see the situation of each stop station from here.

I sat on the left seat facing the direction of the train go ahead.
The reason is that the platform of this station was on the left side.
And this is a long trip, so I sit near a toilet.
I used the toilet once just before departure.

  Have breakfast on the seat  

I bought bread, chocolate and water at a convenience store before coming to the station. Selected satisfactory food with a small amount. It is to reduce the number of times I go to toilet. This strategy has been successful.

  Train depart  

The train departed on time.  Goodby Aranyaprathet!

  Huai Dua  

This is the first stop from Aranyaprathet. The platform is on grassland.
The station has no staff and no building. Small waiting area with a roof is available.

  Sa Kaeo  

This is a relatively large station.
Train operating staffs are in the station.

  Phra Prong  

The station has no staff and no building.
One palm tree at this platfoem in grassland was impressive.

  Khok Makok  

The train wait the oncoming one from Bangkok at this station.
The station has staffs and building. The platform is in both side.

  Prachin Buri  

This is a relatively large station.
I had a impression that here was in the city area.

  Nong Nam Khao  

It is a place that located feels like in paddy field here. I couldn't find any buildings around this area. The station has off course no staffs and no building.

It is a paddy field to the end of the horizon.
This scenery continued for a while after the train departed.

  Chachoengsao Junction  

Arrived the station at 10:31 am. About 4 hours have passed since train departure at Aranyaprathet. The seat of the train got be full by passengers. The situation affected the photo taking to  difficulty.  The atmosphere of the city began to be felt.

The station is branch point with Sattahip Branch Line. It is the line to Pattaya. However, at this time the train for Pattaya has already passed.

  Makkasan  

The time is 11:50 am. The train reached the transportation area of Bangkok.

Transfer to MRT Blue Line is available from here.  Bangkok terminal station is right there.

  Bangkok Station  

12:08, arrived the terminal station almost on time.
Great! The staffs of eastern line are excellent.

After most of the passengers get off, took video in this platform.

Eastern Main Line of Thailand, That's all.

Aranyaprathet Terminal Station on Thai Eastern Line

City : Aranyaprathet, SA Kaeo Thailand

Trip plan was set as two days to stay in this city.
I had good time in here on my schedule.

  Information                                         

The station is located 254.5 km from Bangkok Terminal Station.
This is the terminal station of Thai Eastern Line. Here is at about 6 km distance from Cambodia-Thai Border. However, the railway track continue up to the border.

I visited here in November 2018.  I saw on the net article that the international railway between Thailand and Cambodia has resumed in April 2019. I will revisit to this area someday in order to look railway's border line.

  Day 1                                                         

Visited to Aranyaprathet station at 9:30 am.

State of the station

Walked from entrance in front of the station to the platform.

There are several tuktuks, motorcycles and food stalls in front of the station.
That's all.  The area around the station is a very peaceful landscape with lots of vacant land. The blue sky is felt so wide.

Train arrived

No. 275 train arrived at 11:37. It is about 2 minutes delay from scheduled time. I was lucky because I expected a delay of over 30 minutes.

After arrival of the train, changing the direction of the motor unit will be carried out. This is a scene that can only be seen at the Terminal Station.

Trains for Bangkok leave in about 2 hours. During the time, Let's look around in the platform.

Walking through in the train

The number of customer car is six. The motor unit is located completely out of the platform. There is no shortage of platform length relative to the train. I feel like Thai-ness from seeing this kind of sight.

Then, get in from the first car and walk to end in the train. This train has basically three types of seats.

Seats that looks comfortable.

It seems could be recline seat. I did not check them.

It seems to be solid seat that has no function. I recognize that this is standard seats in local train of Thailand.

There are reserve seats at the end. It is said on the board  "Reserve for Monks and Novices".

Took a position ahead of the train and wait for the departure. The train departed at 13:55 on time. The staff of this Railway Line is excellent.

  Day 2                                                 

Train depart in the early morning

Visited to the station at 6:30 am. The weather is fine.
I had only one chance to taking video for morning train departure on this stay. The train left about 5 minutes behind the scheduled time.

End of the railway track on eastern line

After watching the departure train, headed for Rong Kluea Market. There is an end of the railway line in this site. That is the border between Thailand and Cambodia.

Train depart in the afternoon

This time I took video from near the railway crossing on the train heading direction. This is also near the entrance of Station One Hotel. The room rate is 900 B a night, include breakfast. FYI.

Train arrive in the evening

I wait for the No. 279 train that could not be taken video the day before. This train was delayed about 20 minutes. Unfortunately sunset has already done.

And I plan to leave for Bangkok in the early morning of the next day by this train.

Talat Nam 4 Park Station Thailand

Railway line : Sattahip Branch on Eastern Line

I did not know the existence of this station.
Recently I happened to know its existence on google map.
After knowing existence, there is no reason not to go there.

The railway track run along with Lieb Tang Rodfai Rd.
There are no station staff.

Go up the stairs from the road to the platform.

  Train appeared                                   

Outbound train from Bangkok has arrived.
The station one stop before is South Pattaya.

Stop time is short.
The next stop is Ban Huai Kwang station.

One of the Terminal Station on BTS Silom Line

City : Bangkok (Krung Thep), Thailand
Bangkok Skytrain is operated by "Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited".

The hotel I stayed is located near Khaosan Road.
Head towards Bang Wa station on BTS Silom line from here.

As a result of research the route from google map, decided to use the ferry first.
Board the ferry at Phra Arthit pier.
Arrive at Taksin Bridge while enjoying river cruising.

  Saphan Taksin Station                            

This station is very close from Chao Phraya River.
It is a very convenient station.
But, I have one point of caution.
The platform is two-story.
You should check the destination before getting on.

The train going to Bang Wa station is heading to the river direction.
Since then, I have taken the station name mark of the passing station.

The stop time was a little, but the photos could be taken well.

The station is about 900 m from here.

The distance from Saphan Taksin to here is about 7 km.
Get off at the platform on the left in the direction of travel.
After that, the train goes into track switching work.

It will come again if this line is extended.

Branch point for Thai Eastern Line in Bangkok

Around 2 km north from Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong).
Here,There is the point to diverge to the eastern line.
And there are small stations before and after it.
Took a walk around this area.

  Urupong Railway Station                    

The first station after departing from Bangkok Station.
This is an unmanned station.

There is no English inscription on the sign here.

Cross the railroad crossing in front of the station, the eastern line and the main line are separated.

And Yommarat Station can be seen.

Well then, I head to that station on foot.

Arrive by walking along the track.

This is also an unmanned station.
But there is a bench and a roof.

I could not recognize the end of this station.

Next walk toward the eastern line.

Hua Lamphong Bangkok Station

Location : Hua Lamphong Bangkok (Krung Thep), Thailand

Revisit Bangkok.
Walk the platform from in front of the station.

Construction lasted long has ended, and the road is well maintained.

Hope that a high rise building will be not built behind this in the future.

From here enter the station premises.

This facility has very large waiting space.
It is a very relaxing facility.

 Chair for passengers are installed in the center of it.
Many peoples are spending time here.

This sign "Bangkok" is on the left side of the entrance.
I had thought that it was described as Hua Lamphong for long time.

 I think this space is an exciting place for railway fans.

 It's fun and I don't feel over time.
